Mainstreaming Sustainable Design Cover (2008)

In the spring of my senior year of college, just after finishing a research project on sustainable architecture, I realized that I was in need of a cover.

I wanted something that would be eye-catching, yet would also relate to the subject matter. I chose a photo I took of the atrium in the Hearst building in NYC, which has a LEED Gold rating.

For the typeface, I chose a slightly futuristic sans-serif to reinforce that sustainable design is way of the future.
