Firefox 3 T-Shirt Design (2008)

In the spring of 2008, Mozilla hosted a competition to design a t-shirt for the release of Firefox 3. This entry was selected as one of five finalists out of over 1,800 submissions.

The inspiration for this design came from public transportation maps. In the early design stages, I noticed that the Firefox browser had many similarities to public transit: they both help you to go to new places, they are low-cost, and they are open to everyone.

The resulting design is a map of the features of Firefox 3, done in the style of public transit maps.
