Senior Project Presentation (2008)

Mainstreaming Sustainable Design.ppt (1.82MB)

In the spring of 2008, after finishing my senior research project, I had to present my project to a panel of professors and experts in the field. We were required to include a Powerpoint slideshow along with our presentation, but having observed many dry, dull Powerpoint slideshows during my college career, I decided to put a little extra effort into mine.

Drawing on Edward Tufte and Lawrence Lessig as inspiration, I designed my slideshow to be clear, organized, and attractive. Each slide contains only a few words, and is carefully timed to accentuate what was being spoken so that my visuals and my speech were never competing for the audience's attention.

On the right side of screen is a graphic that displays the location of the current slide in the hierarchy of the presentation, enabling the audience to see at a glance how the current information fits into the larger arguments of the presentation.
