A friend of mine (who wishes to remain anonymous) enlisted my help to style his personal blog. When I asked him what he was looking for, he replied "cool and modern."

Blogger, the site which hosts the blog, controls a great deal of the page layout. So rather than trying to radically re-style the page, I focused on creating an image that would serve as the "face" of the site without obscuring the content of the blog.

The header image, which appears at the top of every page, is simply designed to be abstract and modern, to set the mood without distracting the user from the rest of the page. The presence of the number "42" is a reference to the name of the blog, which is the spanish word for forty-two.
